Asakusa is one of the must-visit tourist spots. No one can come to Tokyo without taking a glance of the famous Kaminarimon (Kaminari Gate). For centuries, Asakusa has been the center of Tokyo's shitamachi, where traditional arts and unique local culture still survive.

來日本後，光顧法式甜點店的次數單手便能數完，尤其是在藍帶當學生的那段時間，整天在麵粉、奶油、糖裡頭打滾，下課後見酥皮、慕斯、巧克力能閃則閃。而去過的那少數幾家法式甜點專賣店，要麼是為了朝聖甜點主廚，要麼是有非常吸引人的季節限定甜點。

首次認識 Patisserie Asako Iwayanagi 是在 Instagram 上，無意間滑過一個華麗聖代，但最讓我著迷的是那吸睛甜品後頭的灰色背景，玻璃杯中的新鮮水果在光影中閃閃發亮。Patisserie Asako Iwayanagi 運用專業視覺美感，讓甜點變成藝術般的時尚精品，在琳瑯滿目的社群媒體中脫穎而出。主廚岩柳麻子原本是染色家，靠著自學法式甜點後在 Patisserie De Bon Coeur 以及 Le Coffret De Coeur 擔任甜點主廚，在 2015 年底同名的法式甜點店 Patisserie Asako Iwayanagi 開幕，也許就是這個不同一般的經歷造就 Patisserie Asako Iwayanagi 所呈現的藝術感。
